DRIVE UNIT SPECIFICATIONS: The vibrator assembly is driven by a 3 HP, 1800 RPM electric motor powered by a variable frequency drive. The motor mounts to the machine base, and the drive sheave on the motor is connected by V[1]belt to a companion sheave on the vibrator assembly. Frequency of vibration is variable, and can be adjusted between 800 to 1500 cycles per minute. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM SPECIFICATIONS: Wiring for the machine is 460 Volts, 3 phase, 60 Hz. Electrical controls are housed in a free-standing Hoffman (or Saginaw) brand enclosure. Components within the enclosure are finger-safe and are Allen-Bradley brand unless otherwise noted. Components include a main disconnect switch, Littelfuse fuse holders and branch circuit fuses (as needed), Taylor wireways, terminal strips, a G.E. (or equal) 115 Volt control circuit transformer, master control relay, and an IEC-style motor circuit protector with thermal overload and short circuit protection.
All process control pushbuttons and indicating lights are mounted on the front door of the main electrical enclosure. Buttons and lights are Allen-Bradley brand. The machine is wired in accordance with NEC (NFPA 70) and NFPA 79 standards, ready for connection to your electrical service. ADDITIONAL FEATURES INCLUDED IN BASE PRICE: Flowmeters. The two flowmeters provide visual indication of water and/or compound flow rates for process repeatability. Each meter reads from 0 to 20 gallons per hour (GPH). Tachometer. Consists of providing a remote digital display for the variable frequency drive. This unit is located on the front door of the main electrical enclosure and is used to display vibrator speed in revolutions per minute (RPM). Automatic Lubrication System. Consists of a Lincoln brand programmable unit that automatically lubricates the two vibrator bearings. The auto-lube includes failsafe protection (and the machine is wired to shut off) in the event of a low grease level condition or failure to lubricate. Elapsed Time Recorder. This non-resettable timer is mounted on the front door of the main electrical enclosure and is used to monitor total hours of machine use (specifically, the total hours the process bowl drive is running). Painting. The exterior mild steel surfaces of the machine are primed and painted with two coats of Diamond Vogel brand industrial enamel in Taupe. Machine Testing and Run-Off at Almco. The machine is fully assembled on our factory floor and test-run for several hours. The processing bowl is filled with media, and sound output levels and electrical amp draws are measured and recorded. Once testing has been completed by Almco engineering personnel a final machine run-off is performed using actual production parts if provided. Documentation. Includes two sets of Installation/Operation/Service Manuals. Manuals have step[1]by-step instructions for installing and running the machine, and include all component data sheets, maintenance schedule, recommended spare parts list, and all mechanical and electrical assembly drawings. An additional set of electrical drawings is included inside the machine’s main electrical enclosure, and all assembly drawings are available in electronic format. BASE PRICE of the Almco Model OR-5V Machine, as described above, completely assembled, wired, tested, and painted.
