The BioSculptorยฎ BioMill 4.5 XF is a self-contained carver, that utilizes the same standard CNC technology as the Imager. This allows the user to select various cuffing resolutions and accurately reproduce sharp angles and trimlines, while maintaining repeatability and accuracy of 0.004″. Proprietary machine controls and custom ball end mills are used in order to increase the speed of the milling process.
Flexibility is one of the key features of the BioMill 4.5 XF. It can handle tool collet sizes of 1/4″, 3/8″, and 1/2″, has an integrated patient labeling system, and has router guides to automate the trimming process. It automatically eliminates negative drafts below the trimline, which aids in the vacuum forming process.
