Can I sell my fabrication equipment by myself?

Yes, but selling it yourself means you handle everything: pricing the machine, writing the listing, fielding calls, screening buyers, scheduling inspections, collecting payment, and coordinating loading and shipping. When you sell with Revelation Machinery, we handle all customer contact and shipping arrangements, and your machine is marketed to our nationwide network of fabrication equipment buyers instead of whoever happens to find a single listing.

What’s the best way to sell used fab shop equipment?

The best way depends on how fast you need the floor space and how involved you want to be. If you want the sale handled for you, a dealer with an established buyer network is usually the simplest route. Can I sell a large fabrication machine without moving it first?

Yes. Press brakes, beam drill lines, lasers, and other large fabrication machines can stay on your floor until we find a buyer, which saves you significant moving costs. If you need the floor space cleared now, we can set up a consignment arrangement to get the equipment out sooner. Either way, we handle the shipping arrangements with the buyer.

Should I repair my fabrication machine before selling it?

It depends. If the machine is in operational condition, you don’t need to fully repair it to find a buyer—weigh the cost of the repair against the potential payoff. Minor fixes like replacing a worn belt can noticeably boost your equipment’s appeal and value, while a major rebuild, like overhauling a press brake’s hydraulic system, may cost more than it adds. Either way, documenting the machine’s condition and having maintenance records ready helps buyers decide faster.
