Sell Your CNC Machine
How It Works
The following information is required to begin the selling process. Feel free to reach out to us with any questions about the requirements below.
Initial Assessment
To start our initial assessment, send the details that affect value on large CNC lathes:
- Make/model/year/serial and control
- Spindle hours, bar capacity, and max turning length
- Options (sub-spindle, live tooling, Y-axis, parts catcher)
- Included items (bar feeder, chip conveyor, toolholders)
Condition Photographs
We will need photographs taken of the machine. To sell CNC lathes, we may request specific angles or components to show customers exactly what they are potentially purchasing. There are some components of machines that are prone to wear, so these should be included. Taking high-quality photographs initially will be very helpful in moving the process along. Visit our Help Center to learn more about used large CNC lathes’ photo guidelines and similar machines.
Floor Requirements
Can it stay powered for a brief demo, or is it already disconnected? Share rigging access, door height, and pickup constraints. If you’re in the middle of a changeover, tell us – timing matters. We can coordinate rigging and freight around your production schedule and keep lockout/tagout expectations clear.
CNC Lathes and Turning Centers: What Sells
CNC lathes remain a staple across job shops, production houses, and contract manufacturers. Buyers want machines that hold tolerance, run unattended when needed, and come with solid documentation. Live tooling and sub-spindles add value. So does clean maintenance history; large CNC lathes especially benefit. We package your specs, photos, and condition notes so serious buyers can move fast. No wasted back-and-forth when you sell CNC lathes through us.
Why Work With Revelation Machinery
We’ve built a network that spans manufacturers nationwide, plus an industrial auction arm for situations where that route makes sense. Our focus is industrial equipment for sale – fabrication machines, CNC grinders, lathes for sale, Haas machines, and more. So your turning center lands in front of buyers who actually need it. With Revelation Machinery, you get fast response, honest condition notes, and a buyer network.
FAQ
What types of lathes do you help sell?
All types, including large CNC lathes:
- Slant bed and flat bed lathes
- Swiss-type and multi-spindle automatics
- Vertical turning centers (VTLs)
- Two-axis chuckers through full mill-turn machines
If it turns parts, we can move it.
Can I keep the lathe running while it’s listed?
Yes. Many sellers do exactly that. We schedule inspections around your production, request a short video of the machine cycling, and time rigging to match your changeover. Buyers often prefer seeing equipment under power anyway.
What details help my lathe sell faster?
Anything that builds confidence:
- Maintenance records and spindle hours
- Recent repairs or upgrades (large CNC lathes, especially) – Tooling, holders, accessories included
- Control condition and any known issues
Transparency speeds things up. Surprises during inspection slow them down.
